Advanced Placement (AP)

Chartiers Valley School District offers many Advanced Placement classes.

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.

For the 2024-25 school year most AP exams cost $99.00. AP Research and AP Seminar exams cost $147. 

  • Free and reduced lunch students receive a full waiver.
  • Unpaid exams will be canceled on November 14, 2024.
    • Canceling an exam after November 14 will result in a $40 cancellation fee.
    • The $40 cancellation fee will be applied even if the student qualifies for free or reduced lunch. 
  • Registering for additional exams after November 14 will result in a $40 late registration fee.
