Advanced Placement (AP)

Chartiers Valley School District offers many Advanced Placement classes.

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.

Students at Chartiers Valley High School (CVHS) will register online for AP exams. This registration will take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access.

This year most AP exams cost $97.00. AP Research and AP Seminar exams cost $145. CVHS desires that every student be able to take the AP exams for the AP courses they are taking at CVHS. Students wishing to register for multiple exams will only be required to pay for their first exam. The cost of additional exams for courses taken at CVHS will be waived by CVHS.
